GWR/LNER Consists?

Anyone know a good source for GWR/LNER consists?

Are you talking passenger or freight? If freight then practically any mixture would be valid, small loads traveling to different parts of the country mean very mixed consists. Often private owner wagons carrying coal might make up a fair portion of the train.

Shoot good point. Passenger consists. Also, how do you put the name of the train on the front of the smokebox?

Are you asking how to set nameboards in-game or adding them to existing models?
If it's the former, nameboards only appear on models created with them. Out of all the LNER and GWR models, I believe only skipper1945's King class locos can equip and unequip a nameboard by hitting the pantograph button.
johnwhelan has created some gorgeous GWR passenger stock that also have nameboards matching that of the Kings.

Outside of the GWR and LNER, lielestosbrat made a rebuilt Merchant Navy class model for 06 that includes a script to equip several different nameboards for various Southern named trains.

andi06 for GWR coaches, I've done some and Robd has done some reskins on Trainzproroutes.

The definitive answer on the consists would be HMRS.org, GWR ran from roughly 1830 to 1930 and took over a number of other railways, so you'll probably be interested in just a small time period or a specific route. GWR-ELIST@yahoogroups.com is also useful.

http://www.ballynagarrick.net/ing4trainz/index.html has a large collection of GWR assets some of which are on the DLS and some not.

Something like brake 3rd, comp corr, comp corr, 3rd open, Kitchen, first open, comp corr, comp corr, brake 3rd but there would be many variations depending on which route and the time of day. A SIPHON G might be included. There are books on this stuff and there are many coaches that haven't been made. For example I'm not aware of any slips.

ISBN 1901056082 for example is useful.

May I suggest the DLS or TPR, plenty of good stuff there to satisfy British railway fans, if it's good enough for the
natives, it's good enough for those who wanted independence. :hehe:

speaking of content, what tender go with the manor class? and are there other GWR locomotives than the express ones out there?

The Manors were paired with either a 3500 gallon tender or the larger 4000 gallon ones.

And skipper1945 has made several other non-express passenger GWR locos, such as the dukedogs and various tank engines, available on the DLS in both GWR and BR liveries.
