Grade Crossings

I'm using the grade crossings created by BNSF50 (They are the best in my humble opinion). Is there a way to adjust the trigger radius?

I've search the forum and found a few posts about adjusting the trigger radius, but I can't seem to get it to work with these. I can change the surfaces easy enough.

The route I'm working on has a small siding with a small passenger station at which I'm setting up a Day Out with Thomas scene (My son he was beside himself with joy when he saw me testing it out). The only problem I've got at the moment is that the crossing arms are dropping earlier than I would like.

I'd prefer to not use any other crossings so if there is no way to change the trigger radius I guess I can live with it, after all it's not me sitting at the cross waiting for the train to pass. :hehe:

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'll be using these crossing in other areas of the route.

It's not the gates being down while stopped. I've got the station far enough away that the gates are up while the train is stopped at the station.

It's that the gates begin to drop while the train is about 310 feet away. The speed limit on the siding is only 10 MPH.

I thought about putting an invisible switch just before it as I've seen mentioned in other posts, but with the train running under AI as soon as it starts off it will change the switch position and the gates will drop when 310 feet away. Plus I would like to have my son be able to drive Thomas around once in a while as it's his favorite.

Perhaps an invisible switch controlled by a trigger. Would that work?
