Now T:ANE I can get into
So, trying to find something fun to do on a sunday, I hopped on th EJ&E tracks (The J doesn't ever run on Sunday, so I knew I was safe), and followed them a ways to an abandoned interchange with the Union Pacific (Both tracks are still active, but the interchange isn't), and saw some engines on the small UP yard down a ways. So, I took out my video camera, and shot some footage as I walked down to the yard, and not only saw a spur filled with Union Pacific M.O.W. equipment. Farther down the tracks, there was a patched Southern Pacific GP60, and a Union Pacific GP38-2 coupled back to back with a Union Pacific GP60. So after I shot the engines, I started heading back to the EJ&E, when I heard honking and saw headlights in the distance. I put my camera down about 5 feet from the tracks, and stood back. An empty Union Pacific coal train ran past me with two GEs pulling (Even got the engineer to honk at me
), and waited for 5 minutes for the long, long, long, LONG coal train to finish. Afterward, I went home, and I'm going to go see the interchange again today. Once I get my camera developed at CVS, I'll upload the vids on Youtube, and link here. Pretty damn good for railfanning on a Sunday.
