Well,

On the 16th of June, I'm leaving the beautiful Tampa Bay area for the UK, which is equally beautiful(MAYBE EVEN MORE!!!). Wish me luck as I visit... I'm not sure if I'm gonna be able to do any rail fanning or ride any trains(Stupid Motorways:p). For more info on my itenerary, visit www.studentambassadors.org. Its a 3-week vacation covering England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. It also includes things like meeting a parliament member in London, visiting the Globe Theatre in Stratford-on-Avon, and Staying with a family and getting to know what everyday life in the Isles is like!!! It also gives me credits for the Washington School of World Studies(Spokane, WA)

P.S I don't know why I made this post. I don't usually brag :hehe:

If you are in Stratford On Avon you are only a short ride from the Gloucester Warwickshire Railway (steam and diesel).Make your parents life hell till they let you visit it! P.S If you are visiting the UK remember the MOST important thing - bring an umbrella....:'(

Lewisner... Thats the thing, I'm not going with my parents. I'm going with 4 People to People Student Ambassador Delegation Leaders(Mouthful isn't it?). Don't worry, the past 3 weeks Florida has been the rainy state(along with several Mid-Western region states)

Thanks for the tips though....

Thanks also to everyone who commented :)

If you have to go to England to get out of the rain, is that a sign of the end of the world?

Have a good trip. My niece went to England and stopped at the Cadbury factory. Worthwhile if you get the chance.

 Claude

I keep saying, this is a fixed itenerary(mostly educational)... so I can't garuntee much. There is the odd time where 3 student ambassadors can leave the hotel, take a train, bus, or tram to the city and go shopping:p.

@ AJ_Fox: Thanks! I'm leaving for the Airport(Tampa Int'l) at 1:30pm. I'll Be in the UK by tomorrow(Wednesday). If I ever get around to a computer, I'll update you.

Visit a a cricket match and ask what is happening!!!

Enjoy, enjoy.

@ Ess1: Cheers!

@ Everyone Else: I'm putting my PTP Student Ambassador Uniform on! It turns out I'm leaving in an hour. I'm getting REAL nervous(lets just hope I don't get a panic attack or a heart attack! As when I get REAL nervous, thats what happens. Luckily, not that frequently)

EDIT: Its POURING!!!! RAIN!!!.... Don't you just hate it. I've never experienced turbulence :O.... So I hope it will wash over....

Hey!!! Its me in Stratford-on-Avon!!!!

Hey guys....

I'm in Stratford-on-Avon this evening. I'm staying with a nice family(part of the student ambassador program). I was in London this morning. I DID take the tube and the DLR. I also saw Charing Cross, London Bridge, and Waterloo Stations. I'm kind of homesick, but still excited.

Welcome to the UK Isaac, you'll find that with plenty of rain, it makes our countries all green and lush....Actually the weather forecast isn't too bad for the next few days, enjoy our sunshine, it's not as hot as yours though...:hehe:

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.

@ Transportfan: Nope, sorry.....

@ Everyone else: I'm going to be leaving S-upon-A, to visit the Cotswolds and the Warwick castle. The UK is fun. It rained, but everything was beautiful. I took a 6 mile walk through the Midlands. I could live here. I'm going to a disco tonight, then saying good-bye to my homestay family. I actually got to see an HST leaving Paddington and that stuff. I also saw the S-upon-A Railway Station and the Wilmcote Station about 1 block from my house(not technically). Got to leave for the Disco....
