Is there such a thing that converts gmax files to something blender can read?
I've looked around on the net and have read of a payware item somewhere, but I can't find it.

Can I please have a little help?

Thanks for your time,

-Nathan

If you have the source files then there are a number of methods. export .md3 to start with, details in Paul Hobbs gmax tutorial on setting up gmax.

Thats not what I'm looking for. Thanks though.

I need something that can convert the file from being a .gmax to something Blender can read, and it can't read .md3's.

Apparently this site http://www.trainzdev.com/ has such a converter, but the site is down. Does anyone know where else to get this converter, or is this the only place that has it?

That's the one I sent it to, try the spam filter, but I've sent you a gmail invite so open a gmail account and I'll send it there.

The scripts worked like a charm! Thanks a bunch John

@whitepass:
Yes that technique of converting it to an .obj file did work, but it was a long, and pain-staking process. But thank you anyways!

Thanks!
