Getting an AI to start in TS2010?

I want a one-shot AI train different from the ones emitted from portals every 15 minutes, to go past as the session starts. So I place the unique AI on the mainline outside town, assign a driver and give him navigate to trackmark and navigate to portal commands, and he don't move. If I select the driver all the commands are shown, but he's not driving his schedule, he just sits there. I swear I had this working once before, but I can't remember if I did anything different.

Don't know if this will help but you might have give him a change direction command and if he start to move then give him a continue schedule command before your drive to command. Or you may have to drive him pass the first signal then he should continue on.

What does his status message say? Climb into his cab, issue a continue schedule, and click on the speaker button and see if there are any messages.

I've had AI drives not move due to a broken track or incorrectly facing track mark - no path to destination message.

Another common cause of AI no-go syndrome is the red/green arrow thingys over the consist in Surveyor being wrong way round...

Whoa!

"Climb into his cab, issue a continue schedule, and click on the speaker button and see if there are any messages." Thanks, didn't know there was a built in troubleshooter! What I got from that;

Didn't actually tell me anything, but I took a SWAG that "AppendDriverDestination" meant it couldn't find it or something. So I deleted the driver ("Oh my god, he killed Kenny!" :hehe: ) and added a new one, gave the same directions, this time it runs. One of them funny little glitches, possibly while adjusting some curves on the route the trackmark moved so it wasn't where he expected it.
