Generic Sugarcane mill (Interactive)'04

G'day everybody,

Has anyone made or is making
an Industry active generic Sugarcane mill?

This would be greatly appreciated,
and maybe long overdue.

It Would have to have Sugarcane in,
Bulk Sugar out, & molasses out.
And generic &/or nameable so it could fit
nicely, anywhere around the world.

With a loadable Cane bin on the way from Alby6
we need somewhere to unload all that Cane.

It's not just for me, i think the whole community could benefit from this.
oh yeah, and of cause i could use it too.:hehe:

It still amazes me, with all the Sugarcane around the world,
we still don't have some basic Industry, that's Interactive in Trainz.:confused:


I've been using the built in Cane mill with Multi-Ind New.
it works fine, but looks out of place in Australia,
as it is an American building & company.
Also i think a rotary bin unloader would be nice,
but i think it would be to hard?

You would have to decouple each bin so the
rotary could unload them. I have put the rolling shed
with cane mill to hide the load whilst being unloaded
and i also use the built in dumper (Aus) for looks.

I'm shaw I'm not the only person who would like this,
to be fully interactive, or am I?

Nothing to add here, other than an observation that I also found the lack of sugar-related assets strange, especially when compared to the deluge of look-alike coal trestles, bins, processors, loaders, unloaders, wagons etc out there.

Back when I was interested in this stuff, the only rolling stock I could find for cane was on some 3rd party web site and never put on the DLS, so I became unwilling to use it.

I "shaw" like what you've done with the front end of the old cane mill though.

there are a number of invisible & generic industries out there which you can then set up to act like a sugar cane mill. they allow you to put whatever buildings you want around them, so each one can be different.

I have not had anything wrong with these at all,
they work fine for me. The Cane bins will be loadable soon (By Alby6)

I'm already doing this with M.I.N.,
Do you have any suggestions of Buildings that look like Cane mills? (preferably Australian)
Because they are unique looking buildings, meaning that when you
look at a Sugarcane mill, there's no doubt its a Cane mill.

Yeah the loco(s) were from Shagster's site. If I recall, I had some problems with config mistakes and missing parts. Besides, I just have an aversion to stuff not from the DLS, in case I ever upload a layout or a session. Ah, I don't want to start that old debate again...
