Frisco 1522 for TRS09-sp4: Trouble!

When I place the subject loco in Surveyor, the drivers and running gear quietly spin with the loco at rest. In Driver, the wheels and gear continue turning. When I advance the throttle, the loco accelerates in a natural manner, but the gear continues to turn at constant rate, and the loco sounds change instantly with the throttle position, not gradually with the loco speed.

Wassup?
 
Do the bogies have these lines in the config.txt file?
auto-create 1
animation-loop-speed 1

If so, try removing them to see if that solves the problem.
