Freight cars that can be loaded/unloaded

How do you refine a search on the DLS for freight cars that can be loaded/unloaded at Industries. I am building a route that has sever logging facilities serving a lumber mill. Need to find cars that will show up loaded with logs and cars that will take the products. I have played around with the LARS2 stuff and can load centerbeam flats.

Thx

At this stage there is no way to search for this specifically.

However, you can do a search for 'IND' and 'industry' in both the name a descriptions fields. This will only work for items with this in their name/description, which is dependent on the creator.

You can also try searching for the name of the load you wish to use, such as 'log', or 'logging' or similar.

And, of course, you can ask here if anyone knows of wagons for carrying specific loads.

For log wagons, from memory slugsmasher has a standard gauge logging wagon, as well as cjlear has a number of them. That said, these were designed for TRS2004, and may not function correctly in later versions.

If its for your own use I'd dig around until you find something that looks right. Then find one that works. In the config.txt file the products carried are defined so just add the kuid numbers of the product you wish to carry to the other wagon. Have a look at the CCG if need be and note to carry a visible load the wagon must have attachment points. Technically you can add attachment poinst with a second mesh but have a play first with the first method.

If it be log cars you are looking for, Charlie Lear has a few excellent interactive log flats on the Download Station.

From memory, some are configured to be loaded at the outset.

Charlie's kuid is 62941:

They will also take other products.

Tell me if this helps.

You'll get a lot more hits by searchjng for 'ant' instead of 'ind'.

Sorry, you will not be able to do much more, the 'green tick' has been obsoleted by Auran, that is the 'icon0' tag you see some off us talking about.

The only reason I say 'ind' is that some creators may use 'ind' instead of 'industry'. If you get any results, thats a start. Ant may give more results, but is it in any way related to industry active items? Sure, you may get some industry active items, but it is very likely that you won't as well...

Another search tip is to use only search boxes for TRS04 and up. Pre TRS04 items didn't have industry capabilities.

The reason typing in "ant" as title in the search box for the DLS will return industry enabled cars is that majekear used that acronym and continues to in his releases.

Of course that method will also pull up anything with "ant" in the title, so perhaps you should search by his kuid: 56063 .
