Seagate DiscWizard and Maxtor MaxBlast 5 are drive imaging tools base on Acronis True Image.

They are bare bones versions, but they will do the job of creating and restoring images of your hard drives. Saved my butt on more than one occasion :)

If you have a Seagate or Maxtor drive in your system, these utilities can be a life saver, and free is as good as it gets.

Sadly I use only WD drives.

Got anything for that as I face a painfull reset of my system with Vista64. Painful because of all the things to re-install due to the now resident 4gb RAM

I concur, the "Seagate DiscWizard" program is a great backup program, easy to use as well.

I've only had to restore an "image" once, the process was quick and painless, resulting in a perfect restore, and as mentioned "It's Free", the only requirement is owning a Seagate drive, external or internal, no matter, as long as you have at least one. :)

Cheers
Wiley :)

Sadly no, WD does not offer the same type of software.

They do have a utility you can copy from drive to drive, but no image utility I can find.
