Forum Email Notification

After 2 requests to the help desk (and no replies) is still get no email notification for this forum. I get emails notifications from the DL Station, but that's it. Can somebody please look into this for me? Are there any other folks out there not getting thier emails from this forum?

go to user cp and look around and see i fyou e-mail is set up
 
Send yourself an email and a PM through the forum system. Hiballer had the same problem, we then found that his ISP was black-flagged. He changed the address in his profile and the problem went away. Auran can't help with this as they would not see the returned email.

It has been perhaps 6 months since I received a notice. I have adjusted.
I go to the forum at least once a day ans select "new posts". I scan them looking particularly for those taged as strings having been posted to by me.
 
Check that your email address in your profile is correct, if it is, then it is possible that your ISP is flagged. Send me an email, I will reply and see whether you get that.

There is another possibility, does your ISP screen for spam? It could be that posts from Auran are being blocked there. Does your virus checker do any screening?

We know that the notification system works correctly, I get notifications all the time, so the problem has to be after the email leaves Auran.

Do you have another address you can use, that of a friend or relative, put that in your profile and see what happens.

I checked many time to see if the address is right. Both for forum and Auran profiles. I don't have a problem with any other forums so I don't get why Comcast would just flag email from here.

I do have a secondary email account. Should I try that?
 
If your second address uses the same ISP the you may have the same problem. Costs nothing to try it out. Before you do, send me a forum email, I will reply to it and see if my email gets through. If I get told it can't be delivered, that was the clue we were given when Hiballer had the problem.

The email to your new profile address bounced as well. it looks as though your ISP is black flagged. This is out of Auran's hands, it is something you have to talk to your ISP about. Get yourself a Gmail account and use that address.

I'm afraid that I can't do much more, apart from repeating what we have done so far to check any other email address you get.

Just a quick thought, you may have changed your profile but you may have to log out and then back in to make the forum aware of the change. I just noticed that the last bounced email went to your original address so there was no change at that time.

Maybe Comcast have not yet applied the change you made in their spam control system. Could you check again that the settings are as you left them.

You need a non-Comcast email address to try. Are you getting the emails I send direct? If you are it is because my ISP has not got you on the reject list

Edit, just noticed your previous reply, you did get my email, therefore it has to be the Comcast address which will be on a list of suspect ISPs

There a plenty of free email suppliers, sign up for one and try that new address in your profile. You need to do that to confirm whether or not it is an Auran problem.
