Forgotten how to convert screenshots to jpg

I have totally forgotten how to convert screenshots from .tga to .jpg. so they'll show up in the preview window in My Pictures. I assumed that re-saving the files as .jpg files would work, but it didn't.

Think you could open the .Tga file in Photoshop and then save a copy as .Jpg. in the file menu i think also there is a save for web where it optimises the jpg for displaying on the web.

Download this free bit of software from here http://www.softinterface.com/Convert-Image/Convert-JPG.htm . Thats what i use and it works fine for me.

Any image editing program that can open .tga formated images will work. Once opened all you need to do is go under "file" and select "save as" and change the .tga to .jpg then chose OK. ( Microsoft paint will not open tga images)
The program LLANBADARN mentioned works too.
