For those who have noticed the GWR broad gauge track and rolling stock on the Download Station and were curious about how it looks:

For reasons unknown I was unable to download "Lord of the Isles".

Trust me, this is great fun.

Hi Phil
Great shots and fantastic looking content that more than caught my eye but like yourself I was unable to download Lord of the Isles (kuid 254127:1954) all I get is Retrying with Download Helper and Page cannot be displayed with the direct FTP link all other items downloaded without problems of any sort
Trusting this problem can be sorted soon
Regards Bob V

Thanks for the sceenshots Phil! Now I know what to look forward to once I download these!

Plenty of tourist lines to be made with them :p

Cheers,
John

The GWR Broad Gauge available in Trainz is in a large part due to the Broad Gauge Society's excellent plans.

www.broadgauge.org.uk

I think one difficulty is picking out all the Broad Gauge items from different content creators.

The one thing hate about this website you have to pay inorder to download these trains to work. :(

I mean really! $10.00 for a broad gauge loco?!

but the trains on this website are very detailed.:)

Are there any "other" websites that make broad gauge for the GWR?

Are you talking about the price of a DLS ticket? If you only have UTC I don't think they'll run anyway. Have a thought for the content creators plans, books for research, membership of societies, you expect them to spend money to create content for you for free and to pay to host it as well?

thanks

johnwhelan I don't know how to find the contact creator program. I really didn't know that until now.

I have been drawing{by hand} plans for a broad gauge loco that worked on the GWR, called the Tornado, which was a "Iron duke" class 4-2-2 locomotive that was built in 1888.
I want this engine to be avaable for download as a engine for everbody to use.

what is a DLS ticket?

oops

johnwhelan, i am just not used to paying for the downloads.:o I only got UTC in feb., a.k.a i am still learning how to use the game!

I took a better look at the the website that on the first comment I wrote.

the models that the website are great!

I don't "this guy" that complains a lot about unnerriasy things.

This was happens when you get too excited about trying a new game out

I am getting trainz 2004 this week, {if it comes in the mail by friday}

The steam loco side was updated with TC3 or 2.7, these days you might do better with TS2010 than TRS2004 generally speaking you get better frame rates than TRS2004 and you get access to the DLS which TRS2004 and UTC don't give you without a First Class Ticket.

You might do better to start with Blender rather than GMAX.
