If anyone one in south Florida can provide details to the signals on the CSX main line I would greatly appreciate it. I would love pictures if you can get them. I also need to know what aspects the signals can show. Ive got a pretty good idea of what they can. Thanks.

Been awhile since I stayed down there and it depends on the era you are modelling, but back in the day, they, along with the FEC, used the traffic light-style signals (not Darth Vaders):

Note that these could well have been US&S or GRS signals although more prototypical Safetrans exist for Trainz that would fit the bill.

Edit: Only took me a few minutes to find these Darth Vader's in use on Google Maps/Street view. I'm not sure if these is the CSX main, but the principle remains that this is a great tool:

ive watched all of these videos and have looked at every picture. Im modeling todays era. Once you get out of West Palm, the signals mix between darth vader style and SAL style signals. The one tri light is used at the indiantown railroad bridge.

I wonder if the tri light signal at the Stuart bridge is because that's the only single track (and longest) bridge on the FEC (since the Key West extension was closed.). It used to be served by two tracks with spring loaded switches to direct traffic so perhaps that's why the tri signal?

well Ben. To answer your question, almost all of the time with a spring switch junction, it only directs traffic up one route therefore not needing a signal that can show diverging clear or medium clear or what have you. with this being said imagine that because there is a spring switch forcing the traffic up only one track when facing the points that its just a single main line. thats why you have only one signal head and in this case it just happened to be a tri light instead of typical searchlight signals found on the FEC

Thanks for the explanation. I made the bridge but don't necessarily understand its signaling (in years past).
