Fish vans

Steam Rules OK
I'm looking for 4 or 6 wheeled fish vans as used on British Rail in the 50'sand can't find anything in the DLS. Any suggestions anybody?

Thanks for the suggestions guys but I have already seen all those assets and they are not quite what I'm looking for. My route is based on the WCML at Carlisle and there used to be regular fish trains from Aberdeen and none of those assets seem to fit the bill.

Thanks again anyway. Perhaps I will have to learn how to create my own.

I still live by the WCML and remember the Fleetwood fish train, you might get the right wagon but you will never get the smell right. It ponged. Found a picture for you. The link won't work, search "fish van at fleetwood docks 1910".

Thanks for the link. I might have a go at creating one myself.

Interesting thought about the smell though. Would be interesting if Trainz could do that!!!!!!!!

Just hang a fish on the back of the screen, you'll get the drift after a day or so. Mackeral work a lot quicker, about 6 hours should do it !!

I can flip you a blender source for a van if you're interested, otherwise a simple reskin might work.

Coming from the Grimsby area, I'd love to see some 'blue spot' fish vans in Trainz. Check out these ones that are available in 'the other simulator' as a reference:

Perhaps a reskin of one of your vans John, if we could get hold of some good images?

I've been mulling doing a van using more polys rather than relying on texture. Your like shows one that has more relief. You can't use photographs so easily as textures and my texturing isn't that good so I'll have to play. I think Peter is after metal vans which are a bit later than the period I'm more interested in.
