Fire in Ft Wayne, Indiana destroys Southern RR coach

On July 29th, 2008, a fire of unknown origin destroyed Southern Railroad #702 on the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society's shops/yard. No other equipment was damaged, thank goodness..... atleast it was deemed "unfit for restoration" before the fire, if it could have been restored then it would have been a greater loss.

That was an original car for the 1941 streamliners. So sad.
