Finding Regions in Content Manager

Maybe I'm being thick (wouldn't be the first time) but how can you isolate "regions" in Content Manager? It's not an option for the category filter, and they show as "misc" when I hover over their icon in CMs list of assets.

I'd like to be able to look at what regions are on the DLS. (DLS pages don't offer anything either)

You will find 'regions' in the main list, next one down from ratings. It seems to do what you want.

No that's not it.

That filters based on the "region" assigned to an asset.

I'm looking to be able to isolate Region Assets - which are another thing altogether.

They have are a "kind" region (as opposed to a "kind" traincar, etc) and set things like water color, automobiles that appear on the roads, what junction lever is automatically used when building the route, and so on.

I found what I wanted I think, and in the meanwhile I made an update to a region asset I made to include the word "Region" in the title so it can be found on the DLS/ in CM. It seems that having that word in the title is the only way to isolate them.

You are right. There is no way to isolate Kind = Region. Similarly, there is no way to isolate Kinds mocrossing, mospeedboard or mojunction (and perhaps others as well), these are all inconveniently lumped into the same Category (Track Objects).

You can also see that there is no way to display or filter according to category-class for any group of assets (other than to look at each config one at a time).

IMHO these shortcomings are just bad design in something that calls itself a Content Manager now in its umpteenth edition. Trainzobjectz could do all of the above 10 years ago.
