Is there any way to just not show assets that are broken in TS12 yet do not show as broken before you download em ?
I'm getting tired of downloading things and then finding out they do not work in TS12.. its not really backwards compatible.

Not really.
Steer clear of anything below version 2.7 to avoid most of the stuff that may not work or learn how to fix them. Don't forget that there is a repair program going on in the DLS to fix the faulty stuff, so it should get better in time. All the fixed items will be 2.7 or higher and have a kuid2 prefix.
It's only stated to be backwards compatible with 2010 assets by the way, not the old versions the fact that many of them work is an added bonus.
