Fence Gate for Trains?

I'm looking for a fence gate that will open for an approaching train and then close behind it. I've seen one on a YouTube video, but I believe they were using a more recent version of Trainz. I need one that works with 2009. Thanks!

G'day sniper297,

...although it isn't intended for use OS, you might want to check out my own AS1725 Cyclone Wire Fencing Kit, which includes the whole kit and caboodle to create a long standing "Chain Link" fence (as you guys across the pond call it), which includes a fully operational railway siding access gate...

...all the components of which are suitable for Trainz version 2009+..

"G'day" he says

It's nightime here, in fact it's yesterday to you. :hehe: Actually it wasn't me looking for the gate, it's the New Joisey guy, but as long as you're advertising got some KUID numbers?

G'day, again, sniper297,

...my most humble apologies (to you and NJCurmudgeon), I inadvertently mistook your post for the original one - I shall try to be more 'observant' next time. Indeed, I am well aware of the time difference 'over the pond' (my daughter has just returned from 'War Games' in Hawaii, where she was 3 hours ahead of us in time but a full day behind us, with the Australian Navy), so I am still able to conjure up such 'images' (in fact, you're probably long pase your bedtime, over there in Port Ogden, as I write this) and "NJ" (if I may be so bold) is even further away in time. Anyway, both of you should be able to track down the asset (it is a nine piece set - if I recall correctly), using my user name - "Jerker" - or the search keywords "AS1725" (or even my Auran kuid;"75943") from the Download Station . You won't be able to 'get' just the Railway Siding Gate, as all the other components of the "pack" are included in the kuid-table of each of the components (so you can choose any one component to 'get' the lot) but the gate should work with alternative spline fences 'outside' of the "Pack"...

G'day drickets,

...I wonder why it is that you think it so?:hehe: ;) Could it be the 'hand' YOU had in providing the photo-realistic textures used throughout?...

Hello there my friend. Speaking of textures on this gate, I was just looking at the pic and noticed there seems to be something amiss with the texture on the bottom rungs of the gate. I didn't see this before, but I know you're a perfectionist so there is probably a reason why it looks like that. Any ideas on what's going on there?

G'day Dinorius_Redundicus,

Deane, I was aware of the 'issue' of which you speak and I believe it to be a consequence of the "cylindrical" UVMapping that I have applied to the mesh (it being round pipe) and the relative scaling of the parts compared to the texture, itself. I looked hard and long at it before 'letting it through' as it stood (without further 'manipulation'), based on the theory that moving amongst the grass during opening and closing as that part of the gate would be want to do, the grass (and to some extent, the ballast) would cause some rather unusual weathering of the rust in various places along the length of the pipe, which could possibly result in the effect seen. You really only notice it when 'up close', anyway, so I'm not all that 'worried' about it...

...in other words, I'm not quite the "perfectionist" you credit me with being...

G'day slabay,

...I thank, you for your comments and by all means, Scott, please feel free to do so...

A true "Brother in Arms"! I agree with you 99%. I couldn't say 100%, because that would be perfect!
