Friends,

Almost looks like a model railroad layout, given the point of view, and the scenery....

For a second there i thought this was just another tilt-shift photography thread... Nice to see i was wrong! I must say that really does look like a model, reminds me of a New Zealand layout known as the "Pikkipikki Tramway"

William:)

Wait, I know of that Railway!

It uses these Wonderful Little Italian 0-4-4-0T Mallets, as well as 2 0-4-0T Tank Engines.

It was Rebuilt after a long time of Being Abandoned, and the Locomotives are to all to be Brought back to Operation on the Cliff-Filled Line

The Line also has One of those Neat Little Railbuses, and I believe that I have seen a Model of one for Trainz.

So, after posting the photo, I went and read the article. Narrow gaugers: this is a 950 mm (3' 1-3/8") line, and includes two narrow gauge Krupp diesels....

I think they should spend a little time to clean and paint the locos. They would look very nice if they were shined up.

The steel ties look cool.

Is this meter gauge?

John

950mm the standardized italian narrow gauge.
At TrainzItalia we had a lot of discussion about building this route in the past but it is on a looong list of things to do...

That is real. The gaping massive hole down back is real. You can't make those on a model because you couldn't reach there unless you were suspened from the roof. If you look on the left it purposely cuts that out to make the hole look like a background.
