Feather River Canyon

Hi all,

After finding the Keddie Wye Bridge in DLS, I had decided to recreate the Western Pacific's lines through the Feather River Canyon. I took the time to measure out all the track between Portola - Keddie and Oroville - Keddie....only to find that someone else had made a terrain map of the line! (would have been helpful to know before hand)

So,...here are some shots of the line after 2 days of work.

You, sir, have my undivided attention. Excellent work. I just knew that those reskins of mine would finally appear on a proper Western Pacific route...

Perhaps you would like to consider this as a Project Western asset? Let me know if you are interested via PM or email;)

Cheers

What's the station used there D. C, in the 2nd and 3rd shot,

For a two day effort, it's looking pretty good.

Keep up the great work, and I look forward to seeing more.

Matt.

Yum, i love it! can i ask what version of the game this is created in?

other than that, i echo n8phu...WOW!!!!!!:D

I remember playing on the Feather River Route that Jack Straessle released back in March 2003, it was a brilliantly long layout, however, I don't recall seeing the Canyon in it, maybe being a non-American and I'm not too familiar with the area anyway, I didn't know where too look for it. It's a bit outdated now I suppose, so, anything newer may be of interest.
Your screenshots look very good indeed, I'll keep an eye on your progress, good luck with it.

You've nicely captured the ambience of the canyon. Grew up on Donner, but Keddie was always fun to visit. Really nice for only two days of work.

UPBigboy: You have got a nice layout..The only thing is the only time that I saw the Keddie Wye is in Pictures..

Update 9/24

About two days after starting the route. I have completed the Inside Gateway leg of the route (leading out of Keddie, Ca for points north). I made it only about 5 miles long, with a portal at the end of it since the route's main focus is the line from Oroville to Portola. With that done, I was able to expand a few miles west toward Oroville and added a few details in Keddie. Still have alot of work ahead.

Enjoy the shots,

D.C
