Hello. I have noticed that my Trainz 2006 has been getting fatal errors more frequently. Like just 1 minute ago it happened again. what is wrong. is it me or is it the game?

Well, that's rather impossible for us to decide. Honestly, I doubt that it's you. I trust you have all the current drivers for you, and you don't contain any viruses. Unless you've recently downloaded some new software or hardware updates for yourself, I would think you would be fine. You may want to run a system scan on yourself to be sure.

The game itself probably hasn't mutated since you've installed it. It could be affected by downloads or updates, or recently installed content, is there a pattern to the fatal errors? Does it occur at the same place or time in a route? Often fatal errors are caused by faulty scripts.

It may be an industry script, or a piece of rolling stock that is industry enabled. Portals can cause crashes too, watch for script errors.

anywhere from 2000 to 2006.

That's positively ancient in computer years. There are free programs available from MS and others that will scan your computer for marginal components. Suggest that you run a scan before looking at other possibilities.

When your system crashes it is better to restart in safe mode, go to diagnostics to see what the error is.

Just lately I have been getting 'error 41 kernal power system' This means you power supply is overheating and probably needs the fans cleaned out. It could also be the main case fan that needs cleaned or the graphics card fan if you have one.

Mine only does this ... after succsessfully saving a TRS2006 route or session ... it really doesn't effect anything after I hit Terminate ... then restart the game.

Sometimes I think it is because of the unsupport of TRS2006 ? ? ?

Does your game crash in the middle of a Surveyor ediiting a route ?

Does your game crash in the middle of Driving a route ?

A crash is very different ... than an error screen "hardware access violation" notice: Terminate/Continue

Is this a desktop ... or a laptop ?

Did the game ever run fantasticly on this present machine ?

Does your machine have Integrated Graphics ... or does it have a video card, if so which one ?

How old is this machine ?

Post your PC specs

Antwerp; I'm sorry, but if I wanted to pull teeth I'd be a dentist. Please post EVERYTHING you can think of about your system, (specs, settings, OS, etc...) and the crash (Message...symptoms, log results) and then maybe we can figure it out. Thanks in advance.

Just don't restart, Antwerp!

Just kidding. This sounds like a script error from something you've downloaded recently.

Your hardware, though is a bit old. If you can we do recommend upgrading to something more modern. The components are fairly inexpensive these days, and usually a new motherboard and video card will go a long ways even if this is just the start.

It happens during Surveyor occasionally.

The same thing started happening to me, but it happens when the camera focuses on certain objects(mainly stations), and when i exit quick drive in surveyor.

I used to get this allot ... but now it is rare ... It may be disc space too small, low end PC specs, faulty assets, hard drive needs defrag, UN & PW needs refreshing ... etc ... etc

Hit me up on free Skype and we'll find out what is going on.
