Fastest Download Ever!

Hi all;
I downloaded my copy of TS2009 this morning, and was amazed at the speed I was able to achieve. I didn't look at the actual connection/transfer rate, but the 2.6G file took less than 30 minutes to DL.
I guess no one's using the site this early (in the U.S.), and it's Thanksgiving morning, so most probably sleep in<g>

I haven't installed TS2009 yet, but I have already registered my S/N with Auran.

Thanks to out telco, my download speeds are 51kbs on a clear sunny day! I had to give up beta testing TRS 2009 after it took over 24 hours to download. Thank God for Australia Post, without them we'd be lost.

At first I thought you wrote 512Kbps, but reading again, I realized you were at 51Kbps. I'm really spoiled by DSL, and now cable.
My Dl speed was something like 700Kbps.
Sometimes I forget that there are a lot of people who still use the phone line (dial-up). I shouldn't take what I have for granted.

I'm actually on 512k ADSL, the most common and cheapest fast(?) service in Australia for which many suckers pay our major telco Telecom $30 a month for a mere 300 megabytes. No typos there. It's an absolute joke that our latest government is trying to rectify, albeit with much difficulty. My previous dialup came in at 5kb a second. it's quoted that half the USA alone is still on dialup so that should always be taken into consideration when designing web pages.

Wow! I guess I've got it good here in NJ.
It has been a very long time since I had a limit on data transfer.

I'll keep what you said in mind about 1/2 of the US still being on dial-up. I'm always working on one web site or another. I like to use photos, so I'll keep them small.

Yes - I must admit I was extremely surprised with the speed this version came down at.. 1.6MB/s - done in 25 odd mins..
