Faster TGV

I downloaded a diesel loco named Auran Ice Express. It looks like a GP-38 but obtains speeds over 450mph. How can I set my TGV or other HST to use these parameters?

I have successfully copied the engine specs from one engine to a copy of the the train needing more speed. EVENTUALLY the JR500 will reach 500MPH. Is there a way to control the set the accelleration so that the train obtains top speed without a few laps around the route?

I found that there is an additional car on the jr500 that has engine specs. Once I changed them to the engine specs on the Ice Express. It worked just fine. Thanks for everyones help.

Performance

Hi ccanupii,

In the enginespec config you can change the maxspeed, max-accel and max-decel values to give a different performance to a loco. But be carefull and make a copy of the original first in case it does not come out as you want it. In TRS2006 this can be done in CMP, in TRS2004 it can be done in TrainzObjectz if it is not a built in item.

Cheers,

In the Engine Spec file do you know if I will need to change the throttle levels as well?

Thanks for all your help Bill, I really appreciate the info. I have a copy of speed record TGV set and I am tweeking the speed to be more close to the actually recorded speed. I may go crazy and up it just a little bit becuase it look kinda cool when your running a 30000lb freight and the thing wizzes past you at almost 600mph.
