WOW! Great find!
Must be 600mm track, just shy of 24". Some of those pics remind me of Northern New Mexico and Philmont!

Man, that's amazing...beautiful scenery, rickety track (how narrow gauge should be, lol) but I think I'll pass on the steamer. either that or fit the thing with an ejection seat so if and when (emphasis on when) that thing tips over and the boiler gets ready to blow, I can bail out in a flash. :hehe::eek:
 
Well I have managed to track down the old Russian maps of the area - only 1:100,000 unfortunately but still more detailed than Google or Open Street Map - so now a question of seeing if I can fit it in amongst all my other half started projects!
