Errors with opening trainz?

I have been getting this error for days now. Every time I exit trainz It switches the display settings and I change them back to DirectX and it won't say, Then I have to restart my computer. Is there a way to permanently fix this error?

If you are using Windows Vista,7, or 8, make sure you are running Trainz as administrator. Also, remember to wait a few minutes before closing down your computer with TS2009 SP4 and TS12.
