I'm trying to move a train from a siding to mainline but keep getting the error "?" what is its meaning.

Please help us help you by supplying as much information as possible. In this case you could think about things like...
- What game are you playing?
- What is the build number of the game you are playing?
- What route are you on?
- What session are you playing?
- Do you have a screenshot of the situation that you can share?
- Etc.

Could be no driver allocated to that engine. This seems to happen a lot in Tane.

Sometimes I have had a similar issue such as the engine showing in the list, but now allowing me to place it down, without the name of it being red. I have deleted the asset but will get a thread started in the support section tomorrow due to me transferring files to a new pc for gaming.

That's a very probable explanation. I've had that happen thousands of times.

It means an error occurred of a type unknown...

Saw that on an old Macintosh once. A very helpful error message and is as good as a dialog box with a ?
