error after import cdp KingsCross York route from Trainz 2010 into Trainz2009

Hello everbody,

I saved the KingsCross york route available in Trainz2010 ( build 49933 ) into a cdp with different name.
I then imported this route into trainz 2009 ( build 41844 ) without any errors or warnings.

When I try to open the route in Trainz 2009 I receive following error

Error : map is missing or damaged. Your selected route is damaged or has missing files.
Return to the menu and select a new route.

Is it possible to import a route from trainz 2010 ( build 49933 ) into Trainz 2009 ( build 41844 ) and have it functioning in 2009.

Why?

The 2009 version is also copied on a portable HD and I can play or do changes when I am on a different location.
I also tried this by copying trainz 2010 on the portable HD, but Trainz.exe didn't start because it couldn't find a certain dll file on my portable HD.

Is there a solution for this issue?

Thank you

Best regards

2009 has to be patched to SP4 to be the equivalent of 2010, which is where the problem may be.

Hello Fran1,

Kieran's solution worked for me. No more error after installing sp 4 trainz2009.
Now I am able to open my cdp of KingsCross York in the Trainz 2009 version.

It's just a pity, that when creating a cdp in Trainz all the dependancies are not included, and I have to download them again for the Trainz 2009 version.

Or did I do something wrong?

Best regards

I'm probably being thick, but unless there is some built in content in 2009 you specifically need (that you can't get in 2010) why have you moved ECML. 2009 SP4 is basically the same as 2010 SP?.
When you make a CDP of anything the built in assets are not included, so if they are built into 2010 and not 2009 your going to fall short.

Hello Fran1,

I can copy the version 2009 onto my portable HD. Even when I'm not at home, I can start trainz 2009 from my portable HD and make some changes to a specific route. I wanted to get the Kings Cross York route for studying purposes.

I tried the same with the version 2010, but this version cannot start from my portable HD, because I'm getting an error ( some dll is missing ).

Best regards
