Engines Quitting

hoborailcat

Backdating is fun.
It seems like these engines are just deciding to quit or something. Ben's Baldwin 2-6-0 and both Baldwin 2-8-0s just quit showing up one day. Trainz Objectz shows no errors, the configs all look fine, I've tried re-downloading each one, and I've even tried downloading reskins of them. Nothing has worked, and they just won't show up. Has anyone ever had this problem before, or may know what can be done about it?

Might be time to bring them in for a overhaul:). I am thinking your kink is you might have deleted something recent that is needed for ben neal engines. Also maybe your favorites is checked on again for a some reason.
Report back if still not working.

It can't be the favorites, because I don't use them. When it comes to deleting something recently, that hasn't happened. The only thing I can think is that these engines quit right around the time I downloaded the SP 2-6-0 reskin from St. Louis Trainz. Thinking that that was the problem, I deleted that engine, but it didn't help anything.

Probably one of the dependencies for the loco you recently downloaded replaced a dependency for the other locos. Just a guess, but it could be that. Check your missing dependencies and your faulty list.

Well if this isn't something to call strange I don't know what is. Every dependency is still there and working and the engines seem to be in 100% working order. They just won't show up.:(

As Ed says, you may have updated one of the dependencies that will not show or work in 04, but as it is an updated and fully working version for later editions of Trainz, your version might not understand what to do with it. I can't remember how to revert content in 04, but check the install dates of the dependencies.

That did it! One of the bogies went up to Trainz Build 2.9. A simple backdating has them working again. Thank you all for your help.:)
