Engine Facility Shots

jivebunny, they are some awsome pics. Just wondering, do you know where that second one is or where it's supposed to be set? Thanks, Jonny.

Hah! This is my first time posting in screenshots, I think...
These are at wgkandsk's request: those lovely sanding towers are his creation. The turntable, roundhouse, and engine shed are all also on the DLS. Most experienced users should recognize them.

This is my version of the engine facility at Whitefish, MT. The real facility is only a small fueling station an a 8-stall rounhouse. I thought it needed more so I applied for an artistic lisence. I made it a full 180 degree roundhouse, and added the engine sheds to function as a light maintaince and rebuild center. The rest of the route is Marias Pass by HP Trainz. An awesome piece of payware.

An aerial photo to show the general layout...

Thanks for your help wkandsk with locating the towers!

Here are some narrow gauge facilities:

Flickenwilli.....stop posting photographs, wiseguy.... :p Seriously, that is THE best shot I've seen on these Forums.

Away from the flashy mainline, a little primitive and light on.....but it fits the bill of this thread (plus I haven't posted in this one!)

Wow. That's amazing. Where did you get the rebuild center?

Actually, I've been working on getting the route ready for re-release, with some changes and additions. I have already converted the passenger stock to Metra, and am using different stock for the freights too. The problem is making it easy for people to use....do I make it in 2004, or 2006, or 2006 SP1? Then what stock and content works without error?. It's tough to make a user friendly route nowdays unless you just dont' care about the details.

Thanks for expressing interest though, it's nice to know somebody uses it!
Ed;)

I know it's been awhile, but are you still planning on the "Re-release"? -Chris

Hate to go this far back, but what the heck happened to that big boy, and why haven't I heard about it?;)
Where'd it come from and YES I did a forum search (and nothing came up).:o
And it had better not be from the DLS because I can't CONNECT to it.:'(

Oops I think I overdids its...:hehe:

Opps! Sorry, lost track of this thread.

Both the roundhouse and the locoshed in my above pics (last page actually) are off the DLS. (good luck... :hehe: )

Search "120ft turntable" for the roundhouse parts. The turntable and roundhouse stalls are a snap-together kit, allowing you to make it as big as you need.

For the loco shed search for "Diesal locomotive depot". It is based on an Australian Design, but it works perfectly for modern North American loco facilities.

My apologizes for taking so long to respond. (I've been busy making a scene of myself in other threads...)
