Emergency 3 To Trainz

I had a vision, and it was about Emergency 3. I have the game, and have the LA mod by Hoppah. This mod has American police, fire & rescue, and medic. I thought to myself how great it would be to have those cars and trucks in Trainz. I think that we need some good American fire and police cars (my opinion).So I then though to ask here becuase I don't know beans about that, so here I am. Anybody know how to convert Emrgency 3 files to Trainz?

Easy, it's just like converting a VW to a Lexis. Just take the VW apart and put in Lexis parts. Of course, you may need a really big hammer.

there is fire trucks & police cars. just look on the d/l station

I don't think you can easily convert between the two programs. You would need not only permission from the original model authors, but also their original mesh objects, or the abilty to extract this from the final model. There are also other issues as well including polygon-counts, mesh construction, attachment points, and many more problems to consider.

In other words, it's easier to construct the model yourself if you have the ability to use a program such as G-Max or Blender.

Could you plase tell me where to get GMax or Blender? I cant seem to find em, Also I found out that the cars are in .V30 format. Do you think thoses programs will open them?

Yes you are right, there is, and some good stuff as well. But I have not seen a good looking modern AMERICAN fire trucks yet. I don't know but maybe I am looking in the wrong spot.

I wonder where you looked. Did you try looking them up on Wikipedia, for example? I know both packages have pages there, and the pages provide links to the pages from which the packages can be downloaded.
