'edit session' allowing duplicate entries to be created

In 'edit session' it is possible to create duplicate names on entries.
As you can imagine this causes some confusion.:confused::(

This is happening on newly created sessions.

What are "duplicate names on entries?" Multiple object instances placed in the map with the same name label? Buildings and other background objects? Makes find object more difficult but that's on you. Things that get auto named like switches, trackmarks, I leave as-is. If I want to rename them, it's up to me to keep them unique.

True Tony,
in my fav. build 100240 if I rename a junction and the name is used somewhere in the route,
I get a warning that the name is used already
do the same in SP3 and I get no warning, thus can by accident give 2 junctions the same name
Don't think that is an improvement.
An option is a [v] don't show this warning again
like used in many software, so the user has the choice

addition:
In Trainz every asset you place has a Unique ID (not meaning the kuid)
these are hidden to the user, but stored in routes/sessions and the soup(trainz dbase system)

In real life, every Junction, Signal, Vehicle etc. has a Unique name/number
if you want to make real routes, you would name signals and junctions as they are in real life

In Trainz it should be possible to give the following items a user readable unique name:
Track marks, Triggers, Crossings, Junctions, Signals, Railends, Turntables, Industries/Buildable, Vehicles(runningnumber)
These items can have the same name:
Kind name effect on a station sign/building
