Hi
My Grandson wants a second screen to hookup to his PC.
Is it possible to for example
Have Trainz running on 1 screen & youtube on the second.
basically 2 different applications on separate screens at the same time on the 1 PC

Thanks Dave

Back when my desktop was running I ran 2 screens all the time. I would run TS12 on 1 screen and CM on the other without any issues. Many times I would build my route while having music videos running on the second screen.

Yes it's possible BUT the PC must have a video card with (at least) 2 outputs so that each PC can be connected by its own cable. Not sure ? - Post a photo of the back of the PC.

Once that is done then you can adjust the displays using installed software.

You are correct, Chris a single port won't do it. He would need to display ports and that is how I have mine setup. My GTX780Ti has two video ports. I have a smaller 23-inch diagonal LCD on one port which I use for Google Earth and research and a larger 27-inch LCD for everything else.

I can go one better John :p :) and I've still got a spare port & 24" monitor left (but no desk space :'( :hehe: ).

Yikes! I had a setup like that when I worked at Oracle. I used a USB data splitter for one of the ports. That screen though was too slow for anything but a spreadsheet. NEVER (Note the shouting... :) ) try to do anything worthy with that kind of display port. They are soooo slow videos would run at 2fps.

For your 4th display, you need to build a shelf. :D

The GTX780ti is a fantastic GPU. I have two. So I have four ports that I run four 27in 120Hz monitors at HD resolution.

TANE vsync set to 'none'. Runs in excess of 50FPS on most routes.
