Downloading

Why is it I can go to the DLS, find a loco, download it to my CMP & when I try to get it into my content I get a red bar stating 'can't find URL - Not found in DLS'. How can it not be there if I found it there? Why can I not seem to be able to get the dependencies if they are listed in the window when I click to see them & try to download them? I'm hard pressed to believe EVERY engine I find on the DLS "isn't there" nor are any dependencies for them! I've gotten tenders without engines in some instances, but just can't get the visual into the file. I see the foto..........I click the foto....I commit the foto & NO foto! I've read w/out the foto, no go. My 5 yr old grand kid is looking for more BIG engines.......... THANX

It is not uncommon for steam engines to have missing dependencies, especially if they were created for older versions of Trainz. First, search the DLS by kuid number making sure that you check off all the Trainz versions. If you are still missing some do a Google search for them. Lastly post the missing kuids here, if any. Someone will know where to find them.

Good Luck, tomurban

The 'foto' is not required for a kuid to work in Trainz. You should be using CMP to list, select and download kuids from the DLS. If this isn't working for you then your CMP is not communicating with the Auran server, hence picking a kuid while on the DLS may put the kuid in the Download Helper window of CMP but if it can't communicate you'll get the 'can't find....' message.
If you can't get CMP to work with the DLS, go to the DLS and try downloading via FTP to a temp folder on you computer and then use CMP to import it.
