Downloading

I have downloaded a PRR Mikado #9722 - Kuid-72938:100109. SOMEHOW, trust me, I have NO idea how I did it, however I cannot get it added to my layout. I read in Forum that you need the foto in order to make a download work. When I go into Surveyor, I find the Loco, but w/out the foto. Why didn't I get the foto & how DO I get it? THANX MUCH !

Go into containt manager and click on Open For Edit. If it is there do a ctl M. Now it should be ready to use.

Download

I went into CMP & found 1 listing for the download & hit Control + M - No luck. You said, if 'it' is there........did you mean loco listing or foto listing?

Mikado Download

It was listed in 'missing dependencies' if I click on it in the 'pick list (on the left) & click 'view in main list'. I have clicked & clicked to no avail. If I right click on the missing dep icon in the foto, I get a pop-up window listing dep's with kuid's & '?' mark. Completely lost ! Thanx for all your help though......

If it's missing dependencies, try right clicking the locomotive and select Download. That will add it to the Download Helper window and it should start searching for items it needs that are not on your system but are on the DLS. (While it's searching it'll have a triangle followed by a ? mark next to the name, the ? goes away once it's done searching for dependencies.) You can click the triangle to expand the item and see what dependencies it has. Once you click start Download Helper will try and download the missing files. (Along with anything else already in that window.)

Download Mikato

Thanx to all for you attempts, but I'm getting nowhere at getting this loco (foto) added to my content. I have done everything suggested & wind up with 'MOO'! I also get the red line at the bottom of the page.......no URL....not found in DLS! My surveyor & railyard lists the PRR & Lehigh Mikato but w/out the foto.........so, it's of no use. I can't possibly imagine an outfit that can creat such a great game & leave downloads in such a mess that you can't go to 1 file (that should contain everything needed) & simply download & use it. For 12 years I've been to every imaginable site with my grandkids & their games with NO problem with downloads, upgrades & the like!!! GO FIGURE! If anyone does try these particular engines, or have done them with sucess, let me know it's me having the problem. Got any idea where I can get step by step (NO assumptions) instructions? Maybe I'll try again.............in a long time from now! All I have now, is my content loaded with a lot of stuff I can't use. I'll probably have to uninstall & reinstall at some point.............THANX AGAIN! You are ALL great.

Oh thanks I needed the kuids

I realy needed the kuids to get the Mikados working man am I glad that you had this.
:D

The reason why I want mikados is because my grandfather owns a railroad called Yaquhana Pacific RailRoad and he is working on restoring a old loging Mikado (Light that is the type) and the number is 1 on the side of the cab and on the frount its cool here is a pic: web site is http://www.yaquinapacificrr.org check it out!

So glad you found what you needed from looking at my post..............How about another look & a little advise for me? THANX

Sorry if this has already been asked but what version trainz are you running?

Here is all the dependencies you should have downloaded (I believe thier all on the DLS):

Mikado 2-8-2 Steam Horn and Bell,<kuid2:72938:54006:1>
NZGR K Engine Sound,<kuid2:81997:15:1>
blw hmike b2,<kuid:96914:504882>
BLW Heavy Mike drivers,<kuid:96914:504881>
blw con b0c,<kuid:96914:504864>
Shortline Steam Cab,<kuid:96914:55201>
blwh282engine,<kuid:96914:51488>

If your running in TS 09 or TS 10 "Native Mode" the PRR Mikado does show up faulty so it wouldnt show in Native Mode.

Hope this Helps,

Actually it's only got a warning, (in SP1 at least) and that's just a complaint about not having a shadow mesh. A bit of work with QuickShadows and some editing of the config.txt's mesh-table in Notepad and that warning would be gone. There is one compatibility issue though: It's got a TS2004 style engine spec, so it won't run quite right in Cab mode. For DCC or AI it ought to work though.
