Hello.

I get my first train simulator aka trainz 12 in a couple of days and wondered of a couple of things:

Where is the best place to download the best free trains out there?

How many trains is there in trainz 12?

Will speedtrains be there too?

G'day ,

Bite your tongue, not everyone likes those smelly, noisy diesel engines, or those modern electric ones with nio personalitythat all look the same, just have different liveries:D.
There just aren't enough steam engines on the DLS, specially european (German) ones.

Have a good one,
E.C.

Welcome to the world of Trainz.

The best place to download new trains (locos and rolling stock) is the Download Station (DLS) - see the link to Download Station at the top of this page. To access the DLS you will need to register your CD serial number (registration is free) - see the Serial Number link at the top of this page. There are other web sites run by Trainz fans which have both freeware and payware locos, rolling stock, tracks, signals, and heaps of other items.

I have never calculated the number of trains it would be possible to build using the locos and rolling stock that are supplied on the Trains 12 DVD. What you probably meant was how many individual items of locos and rolling stock come with the DVD - the answer is "heaps" from places as diverse as China, Eastern and Western Europe, and the USA.

By "speedtrains" do you mean "high speed trains" then yes - Amtrak's Acela and the French TGV are present.
