Tut Tut... I think that Auran should make it easier to use an FCT because I tried to use it and it didn't work.

It has been cutting out, every so often. and saying connection lost info, due to can't find username...blah, blah, blah
Hit "OK" in error box.
I think it is the 14 year increase in solar storms on the sun (for real), one gamma ray burst and Trainz would be the least of our worries. 186 million miles at the speed of light would give us 7.5 minutes warning.:hehe:

How scary indeed, Solar storms do concern me. I have been having trouble with the DLS fo many years, somedays I get lucky and it works all day long. Today no DLS. What us very strange is my internet is working perfect for all other connections.

Hee-hee, I'm new here and the first thing that I noticed was not the download speed but the upload.
I have about a dozen repaints so far, and uploading has been a slow and painful process because the upload speed is very slow, and when it finishes it takes me to a page which takes forever to load even the login screen. if they want people to buy first class tickets, they have to have stuff to download, if they want stuff for first class ticket holders to download they need to make things faster and easier for the uploaders.

I've been getting download speeds @ 4.03kbs in TRS2006 all afternoon, without a FCT

DLS has been working here, have been downloading routes this pm.
I'm in UK, but I connect to the server in the US, 'Flagfox' tells me so
by showing a flag of the country where the server is that I'm connected to & it's IP address.

This is crummy!
When I tried the FCT, it did not work at all. It gave this most anyoing message:
"Unable to download, the server appears to be full, please try again later".
Please do quote this message. It would please me if you do and show it to Auran.

What firewall software are you using (Windows Firewall, Norton etc) - without this info it will be very difficult to advise.

i'm using windows firewall in windows 7 ultimate ... i also have an "avast anti-virus" installed

To do this:
1.Click Start then enter 'allow a program through windows firewall'
2.When the window loads, click Change Settings.
3.Look for Trainz or Content Manager in the list that has just become available to you - if neither are present, you will need to click 'Allow another program' then find the trainz application files (trainz.exe and ContentManager.exe, which are both in the Bin folder) - it is also worth adding the launcher file (Launcher.exe in TRS2006, trainz.exe in the root trainz folder if using Trainz 09 or 10).
4.If they are in the list, or after they have been added to the list, you will need to put ticks next to them under both columns.
Also, make sure you are running Trainz as admin - it may do the required firewall changes after prompting you.

I am having similar issues. DLS was working fine prior to purchasing a FCT. I could download things VERY SLOWLY, but it still worked. Now that I have an FCT... I am into day 2 already, and my queue wont download. Have tried on multipul computers... it keeps saying server busy, even at 3am. I have tried downloading multipul different items.. no luck.
But I connect, it says I have an active FCT, and I can search the DLS fine... I just can't download? wtf?

There does not appear to be any server speed or downtime issues for the yesterday and today.
