Download Rail Simulator problem

Has anyone been able to download Rail Simulator from the UK EA Store? I purchased the product several months ago and I still cannot d/l it through their D/L manager, the "Start" button does not work. I tried it on 3 different machines with 3 different OS but still the same problem. I contacted EA customer service but have not heard back from them in the last 2 weeks. What is going on??

I'd recommend you ask on their forums or go to their helpdesk.

I understand, but the reason why I asked here is that 1. the EA UK forum does not have a specific topic for Rail Sim and 2. people in this forum do have Rail Simulator and I just tried to find out if they downloaded it without any problems or bought if they bought a hard copy. I hope that does not cause any problems.

As you know, written elsewhere by me, I asked for a refund since that service is a complete nightmare, very close to incompetence. Yes, I was refunded after two weeks. I didn't want to hear about EA on-line any more, gone to the next corner shop and bought it.

Bad luck is chasing Kujuans even with their publisher partners on-line. Will it survive?

The problem is that we don't have the product here in the US and I didn't want to spend $20 extra for shipping. I guess I will be doing the same thing you did, just cancel it and avoid developers/publishers with lousy customer service in the future.

Thank you for your response. I have no problems downloading the demo, but I have the problem with EA's download manager in that the start button does not do anything and that EA has not been replying my numerous emails in the last 2 weeks.

This is normal for EA, nothing new. I think since they changed EA Link there's been nothing but issues.
You can either wait and hope they get back to you (sorry I'm not to impressed with EA)
You might also try re-installing EA-Downloader, it sounds a bit off-the-wall even to me but it's worth a shot
Or you can try and get your money back (again more waiting but at least you'll have money)

I had a buddy with EA issues, demand the money back and they seem to respond real quick!

I have installed that EA downloader several times, nothing works. Maybe your idea with canceling will work. Thanks!
