as a new user to downloading i have a few questions to try to get started.
i don't have home access to the internet but can use a computer hooked to the net with decent speed. i have and did register my version of trainz, can i download files to a memory stick via a computer without the trainz program installed ?????. thanx bmw

I would say you can download CMP's to the stick, then transfer them to your comp at home. Don't know about about the DLS though I would think they(downloads) have to go straight to the content manager.

You can Download from DLS using FTP, is found in the "Download Page" section of the DLS window for the content. This comes as a .cdp file that you can load to your stick. As long as you are registered you can download.
You can install the cdp to 2004 by clicking on the the file.

Not sure what you do in later versions. I "think" you import it with CMP.

Cheers,
Mike

To claify (I hope) a bit:

Go to the Down Load Station,

Find what you want and select "Download Page",

Select "Download (FTP)",

Then SAVE as you desire.

Then you can move or copy that CDP file to your flash drive and then to your Trainz computer.

If TRS2004 or earlier, click on the CDP.

If not, use the import CDP funtion of your CMP.
