thanks.

That would mean you are missing some dependencies, I would think. Did you download them FTP, or did you use the content manager?

Welcome aboard

Chances are you are missing dependencies, go back to the DLS find the Loco in question, click on Detailed, then download page.
From here you can check out the list of all dependencies they should download with the loco but this doesn’t always happen
You may also require Paintshed, for this to operate and connect to TRS you have to create an item using this facility
If you are still stuck post back here and include the version of TRS you are using in your post

Welcome aboard, Ewses!

From your other posts, it looks like you are using TRS 2006. You must have used the CMP to do your downloading, which means that it should have searched the DLS for all dependencies before downloading. Some dependencies may have been missing from the DLs, in which case you should have seen some question marks over in the download helper window.

Did you commit your new engines? If not, open the CMP and then click on the launch button in the tool bar at the top. Uncommitted assets will be committed, and, if there are no critical dependencies missing, your engines should be available for your use after TRS opens.

You can set the CMP to automatically commit downloads from the DLS - In the CMP file menu, open Settings, then select the Miscellaneous tab, then put a dot in the radio button for Automatically commit (on the right side of the dialog). 3rd party stuff will not be automatically committed, so you can do as above or you can select a group items in the main CMP window and hit ctrl-m.

If you truly are missing some critical dependencies -- well, it's a common problem, and there are a lot of threads and posts about how to look for them.

Good luck!

but now i have a london route but a load of stuf is not there?

same deal with routes as with assets. on the download page, scroll down below where you click on the downloading method and there's a list of all the assets in the route with a link to their detailed description page.

i didn't check to see if you said you had sp-1 installed. if not, as with me, cmp's download helper might be broken or unriliable, or if mine is for some other reason, i don't know or understand about it.

but at any rate, if the automatic thing doesn't do its automatic thing, you can still from there, click on where it says more detailed by each listed dependent asset, which takes you to ITS page with a link below the picture space on its page to ITS DOWNLOAD PAGE from which click on method of download and grab that one.

you might use cmp to check WHICH assets you're actually missing, but dls search, doesn't always find them by their kuid's. i've found things on dls that were assets of other assets from the list of dependencies on their download pages that the search function couldn't find. of also found things that tarl says are on the dls that the dls search function says no assets found, for their kuids. when that happens, i haven't found one difinative answer yet, except that i know i have some things that came from elsewhere then the dls and sometimes they need parts or the needed parts, might be on one of the other sites on the net that have assets that are not on the dls.
