I have been trying to download teddytoot's rdc cab interior since Chistmas. It is in the content managers download station list. I select it for download, click start and it doesen't do any thing and the start button comes back on. What should I do?
I was promised download access and use to have it untill now. Whats up?

How do I use the FTP option? Do I use the content manager in trainz or the download station? what are the steps? thank you. rrbobby

Find the kuid on the DLS.
Click Download Page
Click Download (ftp)
Select Save and point to a temp folder
After it downloads you can install it using CM by clicking File - Import CDP.
If you don't have automatic commit selected in your settings, manually commit it.

Hit search button (as is if you like)

Now you can access the last 1000 downloads
Each asset gives you three choices...
DLS where content manager does all the work (if it DOES work for you)
or Download Page (takes you to FTP downloads) just follow through and watch the pop ups till you see open with or save file
Cheers
Rod
EDIT if it is an old file you will need to change the search to user name, or asset Kuid or description to escape the 1000 restriction

I think the problem must lie at your end somewhere. I have just deleted my copy and re-downloaded it via CMP without any problem whatsoever so there does not seem to be any problem with the DLS.

I know that issue is mostly related to whether you have a FCT or not - no FCT usually causes that issue (usually accompanied with a 'server full' error at the bottom)

Just to let other users know, the 1000 item limit has been lifted on the web-based DLS (http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=68950) - as I am not the original author, I will not be taking any credit for that)

I got the download to work but...

Thanks , the download worked accept the teddytoot RDC interior is black! only the windows are not black. Any idea what happened now? This is really getting fustrateing. rrbobby.

Make sure 'enable hardware accelerated texture compression' is turned off in the Content Manager setttings, then open for edit and recommit the affected asset(s).

Shane Thanks

That was the final key in a long string of requirements that are now needed to
download. It was originally easy and streight forward using CM. What happened?
Why has it gone from wonderfull to crapy. Thanks again for all your help guys.

Robert,

I'm glad you got the program up and running, finally. Unfortunately, complexity seems to be a way of life. There is nothing around anymore that only requires a few simple steps to operate.
