You will most likely not receive much support until you have a registered Trainz version, which will show in your time line.

If you have already registered, purchased via Steam, or are using another username, you need to contact the helpdesk for assistance. They will help you with the registration process and to consolidate your old account with this one.

I see, does the CD key have anything to do with this? I got it on TS2009 and from when I got TS12 off Steam but I don't know what to do with it.
