Documentation for AJS Stations

Can someone point me to a location for the documentation for AJS (Andi06) stations please? I recall using it some months ago but it seems I didn't keep a copy and the web link I had is broken.

TIA
Paul

I'm having a problem with his stations in that any time I modify them, they re-set the next time I load up trainz or if I save, go back to the menu, and re-load. All this time adjusting platform heights and fiddling with stats and it keeps going back to default!

I'm mostly using the AJS Station 1x50s and in one instance have four of these for a 4 platform station. The platforms are labelled 1 to 4 and my scenario consists have have no problems finding them.

I seem to be having the same problem with passenger height as well. It keeps resetting to 1.3 metres. However its not a problem where I used AJS platforms. Perhaps the platforms are different heights.

The doco I was looking for included notes about attaching ramps to the end of platforms

Hmm, this happens because the data for these are set in the session part of a route. Easiest way to remedy, make a base session where you set all station and other industry values you want and then create other sessions derived from that base one.

Peter - thank you for the link.

Jan - Is this similar to portals where the portal needs to be created at the route level but edited at the session level? I've only started using portals in the last few weeks and had some odd behaviour with portals disappearing or the consists disappearing.

No frost here but it has been raining for weeks which is unusual for Australia's east coast.

Cheers

Hello Paul,

In fact with portals it's the same story. Allthough you place them in the route layer their settings are saved in the session. Another thing te be aware of is that portals must be placed in a way they are completely on the baseboard. Portals that hang in mid air for a part will lead to problems and undefined behaviour. (in trs2006 this was definitly the case so I presume this hasn't changed)
One last thing to note about them, if you want to change their settings with the little questionmark button, you need to be in a session layer otherwise the dialog window won't show. Don't be tempted to change the layer setting in this dialog window to a session layer for a portal however, over here I had all kinds of problems after I did that once by accident.

Greetings from snowcovered Amsterdam,

Jan
