DLS Not Woring

I was having the same thoughts. However, I think Auran are just updating the DLS less often lately, probably due to their staff cutbacks etc. I'm expecting a flood of new assets will appear in the next day or so.

Your not wrong warpnine, there does seem to be a lack of activity on the DLS these last 7 days, but I'm sure that as Dinorius_Redundicus states, the staff shortages have something to do with it.....
Or have all you creators taken an early Easter break......:hehe:

DLS Down

It would help if someone from Auran put a comment in the forum to explain why DLS is down then we would all be able to understand the problem.

The DLS is NOT down. It is working correctly. The only thing is that there has been a lack of updates of new material presented by the creators. I am pretty sure that within a few days the new stuff will be released. In the mean time you should relax and play the game.

Maybe it is

I think perhaps it is. I tried to upload a route last night and the progress bar worked to full then just sat there for ages, no message 'Upload Successful'.
I tried twice but got nowhere, so this is probably why there's no new content, it won't go up to Auran.

Hi Angelah:

I've been getting "successfull upload" messages. Items just aren't being placed on the DLS . They seem to be doing it once a week now (which works but is a bit frustrating). The automatic checks just look for typos, errors, etc. Whats slows the process down so much is someone must place each item on a route and look at it (and its config file) for inappropriate and/or disallowed content. Thats has to take a while.

A guess

Well it's the end of summer downunder and maybe they are getting in some final  vacation time. Anyhow if they are running a skeleton crew and lose a man I guess it may take quite a while to review what is sent and get it out there. I hope it's not turn-out-the-lights-time though.

I had about 60 or more items in my pending uploads place and I noticed they all changed to "file extracted awaiting checks" during the weekend and now all have been transferred to the Auran site (gone from the pending uploads place). That usually means they will get checked and show up on the DLS in a day or two (hope hope hope).

Of course I have since uploaded 10 more so I can never get ahead, lol.

I have tried twice tonight to download Angela's new layout, "West Country Days", just over half way through and I get a message to say that my internet connection has been interrupted.

So, although it looks really good, and up to Angela's usual high standards, I shall leave it for now, and try again tomorrow.

DLS down

I've been trying to download the Fastline 66 and one or two other items and the DLS hangs and then I get a "Not responding" message. I would estimate it's been down since about the 7th March for me.

I'm having trouble in CMP with my user name and password getting erased on a regular basis.
I'm not sure this is a TRS issue, or maybe Norton Internet Security 2008 is playing games with me. I do suspect Trainz though.

DLS update rate?

It looks like nobody is updating the DLS with the new assets submitted. Anybody knows what is happening with Auran? Lack of staff? technical problems? Disks full?

As far as I know, from last 3 weeks all the assets submited are left in waiting area (I have about 60 assets there from 19th of May) and I know other creators are in the same situation.

Anybody knows on what base the updates will be done from now (monthly?)

Hello

The Trainz Team has been shortened to 4 members due to the closure of Auran Developments last December 2007 see here.
