This afternoon I downloaded about 15 locos and 4 sound files. One loco and the 4 sound files had errors so I deleted them. Other than that all I did was clone the region asset file for my route. When I went into my route I`m building about 90% of my locos/rolling stock are gone, so I went into the railyard and they`re still on the list but when I click on them they don`t show up. They`re all ones I`ve downloaded and even some I`ve cloned. Is it possible that I`ve deleted a file that is common to all of them? Any tips on what I should check for? Not all of the ones I`ve downloaded are gone but most of them are. I figure worst case I`ll have to delete them all and download them again. I checked my route for missing building and it appears it`s just rolling stock/locos that are affected,52 of them.

Hi, I presume you committed them after downloading them?

I have previously had the same experience and fixed it by going into Survryor, Edit, then on the top LH side click the filter icon. On the drop down menu click Clear and then the locos should appear in the menu of the LH side.
There is probably a way ensure they stay their permanently but I dont know it yet. I find that some stay in the list others dont and I have to do this each time I want to place them. Cheers

Edit; That should read 'should appear in the menu on the RIGHT hand side

I forgot to mention this was in trs2006. Not only were they committed but most of them were in the route, not just on the rolling stock tab. All the ones that are gone are ones that I previously downloaded and the only ones from today that are like that are 2 rotating hoppers that are reskins of another one I had that is also gone.

Some of the problems with downloading with an older version of trainz is it will download dependancies that have been replaced with a higher build number. Ive had this problem get worse when using 04 because I also have the newer trainz versions. Would suggest check the build number of the assets and their dependancies. I had 50 which I needed to alter. It should not download a higher build but does not always work.

What i don`t get is that all the ones affected were downloaded months ago and have worked fine until yesterday. If I need to alter them what do I have to do and how?

Go into CM, just check 1 to start with for missing deps. 2006 will run almost anything unless there's something serious missing.

It was CP gp9u #1648 by cnr , kuid2:95761:610:1. I also deleted the gp9 bogey wheels and the front/rear bogey all by cnr. The hoppers that I downloaded that aren`t working are BCNE rotary gon1, kuid:95761:15205 and Procor/cn rotary gon1 kuid:95761:15204 all by cnr. The only other things I deleted were 4 of the kb beachwave sounds by Bossman. Most of the affected assets were made by cnr. I don`t know if this has anything to do with my problem but I did try to download one of the locos by cnr that I has in 2006 into my ts2009 but I just got that the server was full.

Locate the loco in 2006 CM, r/click, view dependancies, this should give you what the loco needs, bogey body etc. View in main list, select all, make CDP. Send this to desktop.
Then in 2009 Cm use file/import cdp option and import it.
It will need to be fixed to work in 2009 probably but you should have the files/folders needed for the rest to show in your route.
Could have been that the 1 you deleted was what the others relied on for assets.

Will that fix the ones from 2006. I was thinking of trying to download the loco I deleted again.

No , what works in 2006 does not necessarily work in above versions. Well it might but CM will show them as faulty.( if it shows in game ignore CM) 2010 does the same but has compatibility mode.

When I look at the dependencies for it I get 10 ,one of those is unknown kuid:104722:2502000. I deleted the loco because of this unknown dependency. I just downloaded the gp9 again, on the download helper list the unknown one shows as US locomotive s..... but has an unknown location. I checked the config file for the loco and that kuid # is listed at the end in the list of kuids under SFX_lib.

Dont see why, mine picked that up , put a 2: before and a :1 after and you have loco sound Fx library system. TPR has it if you cant find it.

I found <kuid2:104722:2502000:1> in cmp as us locomotive sound effects library v1.00 by wulf9 but the server is full so I can`t download it right now. I deleted one of the affected locos and I`m gonna download it again to see if that brings it back.

That's the 1 you want, should have come with the loco. Try trainzproroutes.com if Cm acts up.

I`ve got it downloading. At first it said it couldn`t download cnr`s cn dash9 #2522 because it couldn`t find the url but I removed it from th download list and put it back on and now it`s downloading it.
