Can anyone help me. I need to know if the built in ruler can be disabled, as i downloaded the South Yorkshire route from Captain_Scarlets webpage and there is lots of rulers everywhere and it is slowing down to a crawl in surveyor, but it's okay in driver with little slow down. Please help, i've even tried to delete them but it'll could take hours which could be spent driving trains.

Other than removing each ruler individually, no.

The rulers are a "design time" tool and always be removed before releasing a route as a finished product. You should contact Captain_Scarlet and report this as a bug.

Hi Redmanb11,
As Tom said the designer of the map should have removed the rulers before releasing it.

However a quick way of removing a lot of rulers in surveyor.
Press 'F9'
Move your view point so the mess of rulers is in the far distance.
Select the option 'Delete Rulers'
Start frantically clicking the left mouse button while moving the mouse cursor around.
You will find if your view point is a long way from the ruler you don't have to be exactly on the arrow head of the ruler to delete it only near it.

By the way this is using TRS 2004 hopefully it will work in TRS 2006 as well.

Hope this helps,
Lindsay
