J jeffmorris Active member Nov 22, 2010 #3 Windows 7 comes with DirectX 11. Windows XP doesn't support DirectX 11. All Trainz programs use DirectX 9.

Click to expand... Think of Directx 9 and 11 as a collection of computer instructions. Trainz only speaks in Directx 9 so even if your machine can understand Directx 11 instructions it doesn't matter Trainz will only use Directx 9 instructions. Cheerio John
