Didn't quite work out in the end

Hey TRS Team, I have brought TRS 2010 and tried it out for a week but did not quite managed to like it as much as I though. It's a pretty big competition out there of who can make the most realistic train sim and it's really hard to come to a final decision in the end. I like that you guys put in alot of effort into it and added these new features as well. If I could request to have both of the serial numbers removed, If I pass my copy of TRS 2010 back to the shop I purchased from make sure there are not problems with the new owner.

Regards
Gabe

I think you will be very lucky if Auran do that. Why would they want to.

Bill:(

Don't expect Auran to do that, but the forum is not the place to try. Click on the Helpdesk tab at the top of this page and see if you can get any help, but as has already been said, why would they? Are you sure that you've give Trainz enough of a chance?

Gabe is most likely long gone by now, no one ever sticks around to read the replies to the "I'm leaving" posts. I must comment though, that he is quite considerate to be so concerned with the next user. I admire your gentle nature Gabe, well done.:)

Have you thought he mite be a she, that would make sense of the considerateness of her actions. But yes it is a refreshing change to hear someone cares enough to do that.:)

I've never met a gal named, "Gabe"; does a person have to be female to be considerate in this forum? Jeez LoL

I tried to, but looking at Rail Works or rail simulator(most up to date train simulator available yet, so they say) of how it's structured and detailed. They do charge money for a lot of their stuff as little as it may be.

For example, buy class 37, then you have to buy a class 37 sound pack etc. I have originally Rail Simulator, and the reason I though I would switch to TRS2010 is because it had quite alot of conflicts with my system, but now that I have a new one it looks much more promising.I mean Microsoft Train Simulator 2 was meant to come out, but they stopped half way because they ran out of budget, instead they made rail simulator, now Rail Works2( upgraded train sim of rail simulator). When they release it they only give you a taste of the whole train sim experince by giving you the full basics, then there are alot of basic sound packs, official addons that should of been in the game already.

Im not sure how Auran will keep up

If you just don't like a product (& not faulty), the retailer has no obligation to give you a refund. However if the product is found to be faulty (& not a fault that was caused through mishandling by the customer), then you have the right to take it back to where you purchased the product, and you can discuss between a repair, exchange or refund.

Their is no need real need to ask Auran/N3V to remove your serial number, but then that is up to you.

what if he sell's it to Amazon, the person who gets the secondhand copy will suffer!

I guess no one reads the disclaimer when they load the software or register the serial number! Once registered, it is non-transferable! The software is still owned by Auran - the purchase price only gives you the right to use! You are not allowed to trade, give or resell it under any circumstances.

You will find this with almost all software!

Are you trying to tell me this dosn't happen then?
If so I beg to differ!

First, it looks like hadagab used it, but didn't like it, that is when a retailer doesn't really have an obilgation or need to give a refund, but some can and do.

If it is faulty (I said if), then the retailer is not suppose to resell it, although some, even well known traders have.

And by the way where did hadagab say that he was going to sell the game to Amazon, or any other shop/online store for that matter? Unless it is faulty, it is up to the retailer what to do with their products if the customer does happen to return and item (that is not faulty) and the return is accepted by the shop.

Hadagab, you don't "pass" it back to the place of purchase, you take it back to discuss and agree on an outcome of what your prefered option is about the three R's, as stated earlier.
