Diamond River Mining Co. (DRM)

.................
I figured I would start a thread just for this module and it's screenshots since we are so close to release. Here's some teaser shots of the content included in this pack.

Couple of notes. The loading bays are animated and scripted. When you pull under they will detect the power and the chutes will not lower until they clear. The indicator lights on the B unit work, they indicate the following: forward, reverse, wheel slip, and emergency brake. This is a small module with portals on the north and south ends. There is a 2200' passing siding at Fairview with a RIP/Storage spur at the south end. On the north end of the siding is the spur to Diamond River Fuel Co. There is also a passenger station to keep things interesting. You can accept and load 80 car unit trains and keep things moving all the time, however you will need to be on your toes to ensure success! You can switch the mine from both the north and south ends. I prefer to pull loads to the north and stay at the north end for all loading operations. You can have a switcher working the south end spotting MTY's while you are loading and working the north side. You can pull 20 car cuts max on the north end, and if you wish and can manage it, longer cuts on the south end. Don't forget, this won't be easy, there is a nasty 3+% on the lead to the main line, and it's all uphill to the south portal. You will need to almost get a run at the hill with 20 loads and 1 Switcher set. No six axle power on the bridge spanning the Diamond River on the north lead track, if you bring in an empty unit train in you can run them to the shops but not over the bridge.

just need a picnic table for the porch on the red white and blue striped slug lol. I look forward to using these goodies. Great job gang!

LOL, 'DRM' I no longer like this route... :hehe:

Joking aside, this route looks EPIC, I will buy it ASAP (probably in a month-ish :()

Im sad to see you've replaced the track. :( I like the looks of the old worn down ties and rusty track. Made it look like it was something that belonged to a shortline. Would of been nice to if there was jointed rail for the sidings. But on the other hand im still excited for this, and I like the looks of the mine and the engines.

Uh??

"The module is freeware, the buildings are payware ... ."

So does this mean the freeware part just shows track + terra forming + textures without any buildings and structures?

However, it does look absolutely excellent. Would it be possible to see the track plan?

Hi Phil!

Yeah, basically the pack includes all the custom buildings and industries, plus all the rolling stock and locomotives. If you don't purchase the pack you will simply need to replace the payware buildings with something suitable and the route is good to go. I'll see if I can get a map up here, it's pretty simple but yet I've already gotten hours of fun on this thing and it will certainly provide hours more. I also have a freeware industry pack that's about ready too, so something for everyone hopefully!
