Detroit Connecting Railroad Coming Soon!

I've been lately railfanning the whole area of Detroit. I ventured around the routes I currently have done. I went to Milwaukee Jct. on the real CN Holly Sub and checked-out the Detroit Connecting Railroad on the opposite side of the junction that my friend works on. He once had TRS2006, but his hard drive is messed up. He gave me all these photos, maps, and stuff and said I should try doing Detroit Connecting (Also known as the "Dcon" ), so that's what I'm doing!

Background Info:

Detroit Connecting is a small 2-4 mile line previously owned by the Grand Trunk Western. It currently interchanges with CN at BOC Yard about a mile off of Milwaukee Jct. and the CN Holly Sub. They mostly serve customers for scrap and produce. Even though Milwaukee Jct. is really close to downtown Detroit, the "Dcon" goes right into the downtown area of Detroit. This area is not all that safe at night, but it's interesting.

Now for some screenshots:

To show how this route ties-in with the CN Holly Sub, you have Milwaukee Jct. but Dcon works the opposite end of the junction.

If anybody wants to reskin their locomotives I would really appreciate it! -Chris

DCON 44T is on the way!

Hey Chris, when you get a chance, would ya send over a good clean side shot of DCON #4 so I can see exactly what it says? Other than the logo, the little bugger is just about finished...

Peace.

Update - AGAIN

Alright bro, I was able to put some of the finishing touches on your DCON Switcher. I've got a Nathan P3 hornsound for it, which I am uploading onto the DLS as we speak. I'm going to switch out the trucks and let you point out any corrections to be made, but I think it's pretty much good to go. Once you've tested it and you're satsfied, I'll put her on the DLS.

PEACE

Ah...another masterpeice coming!

Nice work Chris!:D
Are you going to have a winter and a summer edition for all your routes or something? That would be nice. :)

Its also good to hear it connects with CN Holly Sub. It was a rather short route for me.

As for rekinning I would glady do it. Rather attempt it excuse me.:hehe:
Give me a week and I'll see what I can some up with.

Cheers,

Thanks so much Kyle! I really appreciate it! That is EXACTLY what Dcon #4 switcher looks like, also they are getting an Adrian & Blissfeild SW9 in a few weeks because the old Dcon #9 (GE 80 tonner) recently got it's rear wheel barings distroyed.

Titaniclover: Although it ties-in with one spot on the Holly Sub, you cannot merge them together because they are in different seasons. -Chris

Hmm, a SW9 you say? Sounds interesting.
Once you get shots of this locomotive Chris, send them to my email, i'll see what i can do.
Cheers.

Ok, time for an update! Kyle, the Dcon #4 feels right at home here on my route! I took it for a spin today on what I've done so far on the route.

We see Dcon #4 by it's lonesome after it's big brother Dcon #9 broke it's axle a month ago. here in the "Loco Pen" on Fredrich Street with tanker cars sitting at EQ Chemicals.

Shortly after picking-up a reefer down the track where the line rots into shrubs, Dcon #4 with it's reefer passes through Ferry Yard and heads to BOC Yard to interchange with CN.

Almost Near Milwaukee Jct.

Now going onto CN tracks at Milwaukee Jct to BOC Yard (Not finished); as you can see in the distance, no activity yet is on the CN Holly Sub to Pontiac. -Chris
